Our Story
About
Blue Cow Delivery
Blue Cow Delivery is owned and operated by Carl & Andrea VanRooyen. We are passionate about local food and sustainable business practices. Blue Cow Delivery offers many opportunities to encourage these passions.
Hewitt’s Dairy & Harmony Organic Dairy are historically the main producers for the business. Milk products being sold in reusable glass bottles was the main reason that we were drawn to the Blue Cow concept. We became customers of Blue Cow through the Woodstock Farmers Market. Having organic milk in glass bottles was something we were excited to have in our fridge and to bring out when company was over. Additionally, the historic charm of milk delivery attracted us to the the Blue Cow community. We hope you will feel the same way supporting local, supporting sustainable, and reaching back to a time when milk was delivered by horse to neighbourhood front doors.
We also operate Greener Pastures Eco Farm where we produce sustainable meat products using regenerative farming practices. We are excited to be able to add our meat to the list of items you can have delivered. Our vision for Blue Cow is to provide a complete grocery delivery service offering products exclusively from local farms and producers. We aim to source all of our products from Southwestern Ontario, mainly from Oxford County and the neighboring counties of Haldimand, Perth, Middlesex, and Elgin.
From Southwest Ontario’s backyard to your front door!

History
Blue Cow Delivery
Offering milk delivery to the Dairy Capital of Canada since 2002. The business was established by Norm & Ruth Skillings, on their small family farm in Eastwood, ON. With humble beginnings at the Woodstock Farmers Market they quickly began offering home based delivery. In 2010, Norm and Ruth retired and sold the business to Lies VanBergen. The business continued to operate off of the Skillings Farm. Lies expanded the delivery business and became a key fixture of the Woodstock Farmers Market. Lies retired in 2019 and sold the business to Carl & Andrea VanRooyen of Greener Pastures Eco Farm. And the rest, as they say, is History!
